Music at KUMC
Choir
Our KUMC Choir has blessed our church with spirit-filled music, hymns, and anthems. In September 2021, we received our new Organist/Choir Director M. Wayne Hare, a Colleague of the American Guild of Organists. He is experienced with numerous kinds of liturgical music in many different settings. Wayne has had the responsibility for vocal choirs of all ages.
We invite anyone to join us for choir practice on Wednesdays at 6:30pm and Sundays at 10:00am. If you love to sing and praise the LORD, we would love to have you join us.

Handbell Choir
The KUMC Handbell Choir began in 1993 with a borrowed set of bells and necessary supplies purchased by the United Methodist Men of KUMC. Our first 3 octaves of bells were purchased about 18 months later. Two years after that, we purchased a 3 octave set of hand chimes. We currently have 3.5 octaves of Malmark bells and 3.5 octaves of Malmark hand chimes.
Rehearsals are Monday evenings from 5:30pm - 7:00pm.
The dedicated members of this choir ring in the 11:00am church service every Sunday at KUMC. Currently we have openings for many ringers, so if you are curious or would like to see how it feels to be a part of an amazing group, come check us out!

Children’s Choir and Special Music
Our KUMC Children’s Choir blesses us with song and music throughout the year. Singing, dancing, musical instruments, praise! We’d love to have your child join us! Practice is Sunday morning at 9:30am.
KUMC has many members and friends with musical talents and we’re fortunate to enjoy an array of unique music at our worship services and events throughout the year. Horns, bagpipes, bells, flutes, and more. You never know what musical treat you’ll experience at KUMC!
